When we look at the world around us, it’s easy to see that things are not as they should be. There is a huge disparity between those who have and those who have not. As Christians, our job is to go out and bring hope to hopeless situations; to spread the love of Jesus to those who feel unloved.

“Jesus said to his disciples, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.” Matthew 9:37-38

2012 Missions Trips

In 2012, GFC will be offering five trips that are sure to put you in a position to do just that. Join us in spreading life to those who so desperately need it.

The following information is for individuals wanting to attend any of the 2012 missions trips:

  • The next Missions’ Team Meeting will be on Sunday, February 12th at 1:30 PM upstairs in the GFC Youth Center. Childcare will not be provided.
  • If you are unable to attend the meeting, please contact the contact for the trip in which you are interested.

Missions Utah

The Move Missionswhen: Wednesday, March 14th – Tuesday, March 20th
who: Students from The Move (high school)

During the Hillsborough County Spring Break, Pastor Josh Hawk will be taking 42 people to Utah for an evangelistic missions trip in partnership with the Association of Related Churches (ARC). ARC is an association of relational churches working with church planters, church leaders, and churches in transition to provide support, guidance and resources to launch and grow life giving churches.

There will be 6 mandatory Sunday Evening Bible Study Classes to prepare for this evangelistic mission trip:

  • January 22nd
  • January 29th
  • February 12th
  • February 19th
  • March 4th
  • March 10th

Missions Haiti

when: Saturday, April 21st – Saturday, April 28th
who: For ages 18 and up

General registration for the Haiti Missions Trip is now closed. For this trip, we are still looking for an electrician, a carpenter and 3 masons to join us. If you are one of the above and able to join us on the trip, please contact Pastor Mike at mmoore@GFConline.com for more information.

Pastor Mike Moore will be taking a team in conjunction with CWE Ministries – Construction for Worldwide Evangelism. This trip will be a construction expedition.

  

Missions Trip Nicaragua

when: Sunday, June 10th – Saturday, June 16th
who: For ages 18 and up

Pastor Dale Brooks will be taking a team to Nicaragua to meet up with Greg and Samantha Elam of Helping Hands Ministries. This is a multi-purpose trip consisting of evangelism, street ministry, and ministry to youth and locals.
 

Missions Trip Uganda

when: Sunday, July 22nd – Friday, August 3rd
who: For ages 18 and up
cost: $3000.00 ($300.00 deposit with application)
deadline: Deadline for application submission and $300 deposit is Sunday, January 15th

This is a trip to One City Ministries in Mbale, Uganda. Mike and Debbie Gilbert are the founders of this mission. Pastor Fritz and Cathy Ruhe will lead this team as they host various conferences for the health and welfare of the people of that area in Uganda.

Missions Mexico

when: Friday, November 30th – Saturday, December 8th
who: For 20′s & 30′s
cost: $1200.00 ($300.00 deposit with application)
deadline: Deadline for application submission and $300 deposit is Thursday, March 1st

This multi-purpose trip will be led by Pastor Chris Bonham concentrating on evangelism, light construction, painting, etc. Bill and Kathy Craver of Dream Center International (DCI) will be hosting the team. Throughout the years, the Cravers have mobilized teams of Christians to bring aid to people who need it the most. Businesses, churches, schools and many individuals join with them to aid people in areas of Central America and the Yucatan peninsula of Mexico.
